The city  on three rivers

Passau’s unique location at the confluence of the three rivers Danube, Inn and Inz, has made the town a one of a kind cultural and artistic centre. Passau is located near the Austrian and Czech border.
Passau was first mentioned as a Roman provincial town. In 1803 it became Bavarian city.

Shipping has always been an integral component to life here. The local shipping company offers City Tours by Boat and excursions on the river Danube.
